Chris Paul in COVID-19 Protocol Jail – Out indefinitely
Chris Paul AKA CP3 is out indefinitely due to COVID-19 protocols. As of now the exact details surrounding his level of exposure are still not widely known.
This of course leaves his status for the start of the next round, up in the air. Depending on what happens with the Clippers vs Jazz series. The NBA Conference Finals could begin Sunday or Tuesday. Depending on the level of exposure that Paul has come in contact with. He could miss 1 game or the whole round.
The NBA’s rules for coronavirus-related isolation periods have evolved throughout the season in correlation with increasing vaccine numbers. If Paul is already vaccinated against COVID-19, he could be facing a shorter absence from the Suns.
Clearly, the Suns would be pulling for an extended series in the remaining Western Conference semifinal between Utah’s Jazz and Los Angeles’ Clippers. The series is tied 2-2 with Game 5 on Wednesday. To further shed more murkiness on the situation the Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard has just been ruled out with a knee injury that will definitely impact the result of the Western Conference Semi-final.
